Neon Driftline

Neon Driftline is unapologetically an arcade racer. There's no simulation nonsense here, just a car that wants to slide and tracks that reward you for letting it. Holding a drift through a long neon corner while the boost meter fills is the entire appeal, and it delivers.

Controls are tilt or on-screen buttons, and both feel responsive. I settled on buttons for precision. The car roster is small but distinct, and unlocking a new one actually changes how a track plays instead of just swapping a paint job.

The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting, and the sense of speed is genuinely good. It's not deep, but it's a perfect five-minute-a-time game.
